So this NOT to imply the writing is bad
But so far the Batfam fic as me genuinely shaking in anger , the fact that dick is convinced that y/n as to prove herself to be "worthy" genuinely got to me to the point I need a pallete cleanser
Could we please get a small drabble of reader growing close with one of the "outside" batfam members?
Like maybe Kate(batwoman) and Luke (batwing) because they are under used
Or hell, maybe to really grind the family gears, reader gets close to azrael
(you know Bruce would've able to do shit if reader got close with Kate, she would fucking eat him alive)
Hey, You're all good bro! I also just want to put out that my fic is based on an au! The portrayals of any characters in my fic are based off of their canon and fanon counterparts, just with my own twist. Since this is a darker universe/au, the Bats along with other heroes are going to be a lot more brutal and jaded.
Also love your idea bro. But, I'll do you one better. Constantine. Bruce absolutely can't stand him and the reader being friends with/getting along with him? Oh, that's bound to grind Bruce's gears. It would also be easier to meet Constantine too.
Let's just say one day the reader gets caught up in some Justice League Dark stuff that Constantine is trying to solve. She gets kidnapped by a cult that wants to use her as a sacrifice. I mean, she is a pretty huge target, being the daughter of a Billionaire after all. Anyways, shes kidnapped, nobody is coming to get her, not from her family at least. Long story short, Constantine arrives too late to stop the ritual, but things don't go according to plan for the cultists anyway. Turns out that the person sacrificed wouldn't be killed, but would instead become a vessel.
Great, now you have some old, eldrich being living rent-free in your mind. The being is old, donning the title "Keeper of Hell", but you'll just call it (they? him? her?), Adam. Yeah, Adam wasn't too happy with the name. When Constantine arrives, however, hes pleasantly surprised to find you alive. When he realizes that you, a 15-year-old, now carry the presence and power of an eldritch being older than Gotham itself, he groans while lighting up a cigarette. Looks like he'd have to deal with you now.
He checks over you making sure you have no internal and external injuries before explaining your situation. He feels a little sorry for you, but he is in no condition to train you. He asks around to other JL dark members, hoping to see if anyone is willing to help you control your new powers. He sighs again when nobody steps up to the plate, too busy with their own sidekicks and quests.
Reluctantly, he tells you he'd help you figure stuff out. And there begins the blossoming of the amazing "Grumpy old man and kid they didn't ask for" troupe. When you tell Constantine your name, he blanks, because of course he gets stuck with one of the bat's kids. However, based on your tone of voice when discussing your family (and the way you begged him not to let Bruce/Batman know of your predicament), he's guessing things aren't all too great between you all. Well, thats not his problem, his only job was to train you and make sure you don't end up accidentally killing someone.
Yeah...like that thought process is going to last. Training sessions start out bleak and professional, he's only doing a job. Then as time continues, he finds himself enjoying your company, your enthusiasm to learn and your rambunctious/sarcastic comebacks always have him fighting off a smile. It's been a while since he's had company like this. Soon, you're both going out on missions, and then ice cream breaks afterward. He lets you fall asleep on his shoulder, drooling all over his trench coat after particularly difficult missions and he can't bring himself to mind.
He's fond of you, although he never admits it out loud. It's okay though, because even though he's never said it out loud, his actions speak louder than words. You could feel his love and pride for you. Although he wasn't exactly your dad per se, he was still something to you, maybe the wine uncle? You don't know, and you don't particularly care to put a label on what Constantine was to you, you're just glad that he's there.
Shit hits the fan, however, when one day you decide to go on a solo mission. It's nothing crazy, just getting rid of some poltergeists and low-level demons and shades. Now, were you given permission to go on this mission alone? No, but in a normal teenage manner, you decide to go anyway. Everything was fine, you got rid of all the poltergeists in the area and even some of the shades too! It's all going well until you realize that the demon mentioned before was not as weak as you were told. You gulped when its blood red eyes turned to you.
"Well shit." Constantine was going to kill you.
It immediately lunges at you, you barely rolling out of its sharp claws. You hit it with a couple of spells, causing the demon to roar out in pain, burn marks now littering its side. Its tail whips at you, colliding with your stomach as you fly into a wall with a loud thud. You groan as you pick yourself up, clutching your ribs, each breath a jagged pain that ripples through your chest. Your arm is slick with blood, the gashes from the demon's claws burning as if its very essence were trying to sear your flesh. You grit your teeth and weave another spell, calling on Adam’s power to knock the demon back. This time, a burst of raw energy slams into it, shattering its leg with a sickening crack.
For a brief moment, you think it's over, ready to strike the final blow. But the demon’s leg snaps back into place, bone and flesh knitting together as if the injury had never happened.
“Of course,” you mutter under your breath. “Why would this be easy?”
The demon lunges again, and you’re just a split second too slow. Burning pain flares through your right arm as its claws tear into you, ripping through your flesh like paper. You scream, the sound involuntary, but you push through the pain, refusing to go down without a fight.
Drawing back, you unleash another spell, a sharp projectile of energy aimed at its neck. The demon flinches, letting out a low growl. That reaction—panic—gives you the first glimmer of hope. Its neck. That's its weak spot.
With renewed determination, you gather every ounce of strength you have left. The cuts across your body throb, and your arm feels like it’s on fire, but you push it all aside. You can do this. You have to do this.
You unleash a volley of cutting spells, each one aimed at the demon’s throat. It fights back viciously, throwing you around the room with a strength that makes your vision blur. Every hit you take feels like your bones are splintering, but you keep going. You keep attacking.
Finally, one of your spells strikes true.
The demon lets out a gurgling screech as your spell cuts deep into its neck. Blood—thick and dark—pours from the wound, and it claws at its own throat, choking. Its body spasms violently, and then, as if collapsing in on itself, it begins to disintegrate. In a few seconds, all that’s left is dust.
You stand there, panting, barely able to process the fact that you did it. You won. A grin spreads across your face, and despite the pain radiating from every part of your body, you let out a weak cheer.
But the celebration is short-lived.
Pain cuts through you like a knife, sharp and sudden, reminding you of just how battered you are. Blood is still oozing from the various gashes across your body, and your arm feels like it’s hanging by a thread. You stumble, nearly falling, but catch yourself at the last second.
“Crap… I’m bleeding out,” you mumble, wincing. “Whoops.”
With what little energy you have left, you remember the spell Constantine taught you, the one that would tether you to him no matter where you were. He warned you not to use it unless it was an emergency—and bleeding out from demon-inflicted wounds definitely qualifies.
You lift your shaking hand and cast the spell, a sluggish flick of your wrist sending out a ripple of energy. A portal forms, shimmering and unstable, but functional enough. Without much grace, you stumble through it, disappearing from the demon’s lair.
What you didn’t know, however, was that Constantine was currently in a Justice League meeting.
The first thing you feel is a sudden drop, like the ground beneath you has vanished. You barely register the sensation of falling before you crash, hard, onto something solid. Groaning, you blink through the haze of pain and find yourself sprawled across a massive table.
You can hear voices—muffled, alarmed—but the world is spinning too much for you to focus. All you know is that you're lying on something cold and hard, and you’re absolutely drenched in blood.
Forcing your eyes open, you see several figures standing around you, staring in shock. Your vision is blurry, but you can make out Superman’s cape and Wonder Woman’s armor. You try to process what's happening, but the pain in your arm and ribs keeps pulling you under.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow. Fuckkkk." You cry out.
Suddenly, the scent of smoke fills the air. You don't even have to look to know who it is. Constantine’s familiar trench coat brushes against your arm as he crouches beside you, cigarette dangling loosely from his lips. His eyes flicker with a dangerous mix of exasperation and barely concealed anger.
“What in the bloody fuck, kid?” he snaps, his tone harsher than usual, but the concern underlies his words.
You wince, the situation hitting you all at once. Crap. Now I've got to deal with this.
You muster a weak, sheepish grin, wincing as you turn your head to face him. “Heyyy Constantine, how are ya?”
His brow furrows deeper, and he’s clearly not amused. “What did you do?”
You swallow hard, trying to think of how to explain yourself without getting ripped to shreds—verbally or otherwise. “I—well, promise you won’t get mad?”
“Too late for that, kid. I’m already halfway there,” he growls, his eyes narrowing as he looks over your wounds. “Now get to it.”
You bite your lip, trying to find the least disastrous way to explain. “So… I sorta… mighta… gone on a solo demon-hunting mission,” you blurt out quickly, hoping he’d just move past it.
The way Constantine’s eyes widen, and the immediate twitch in his jaw tell you that he’s definitely not going to move past it.
“You did what?!” His voice rises as he stands up, rubbing a hand over his face. “Oh bloody— I thought I specifically told you not to go by yourself! And this is what happens!”
“Hey, well, I’m alive, aren’t I?” you say, grinning nervously, trying to play it off.
“That’s besides the point!” He throws his arms up, pacing as he takes a long drag from his cigarette. “Bloody hell, I should’ve known better with you kids. I swear, this is why I never—”
Just then, a dark, grim voice cuts through the chaos, and your heart nearly stops.
“Constantine,” Batman’s tone is low, authoritative. “Why is my daughter bleeding on our table?”
Oh no. No, no, no. Not now.
You freeze, your mind going blank as you feel the weight of Batman’s presence at the end of the table. You slowly, painfully turn your head to see him standing there, cape draped over his shoulders, his gaze icy and locked onto you. His usual stoic expression somehow looks even more intense.
“Ah… shit,” you mutter under your breath, groaning inwardly as you realize you’ve just landed yourself in the absolute worst situation imaginable. “I completely forgot he was still here.” Wait, did you say that out loud?
Constantine gives you a sidelong glance, raising an eyebrow. “Yes, kid, you did. And now we’ve got more than just your wounds to worry about, don’t we?” He sighs deeply, rubbing his temples, already anticipating the fallout.
Batman’s eyes narrow, arms crossed as he takes a step closer to you, his voice low and dangerous. “Care to explain yourself?”
You’re still bleeding, your head is pounding, and you’re pretty sure at least a few bones are broken, but none of that compares to the fear creeping up your spine as you look up at your father. Your mind races for an answer, but every excuse you can think of feels flimsy at best.
Constantine clears his throat, sensing the rising tension in the room. “Right. Let’s get her fixed up before this turns into an interrogation, yeah? Kid’s bleeding all over the place, and she’s already taken a beating. We’ll save the lecture for later.” He waves his hand, muttering something under his breath as he kneels beside you again.
The tension between Constantine and Batman lingers in the air, thick and heavy, but Batman finally relents. His eyes soften—slightly—as he watches Constantine work to stabilize your injuries with magic.
You can feel yourself growing weaker, the adrenaline finally wearing off as the pain becomes unbearable. Constantine mutters a healing spell, one that slows the bleeding and knits some of the less serious cuts together. It's not perfect, but it’s enough for now.
“I think it’s time to get you all fixed up, huh?” Constantine says softly, his earlier anger tempered by concern as he helps you sit up, his hand firm on your back to support you.
You nod weakly, not daring to meet Batman’s eyes again. You’re in deep trouble, but for now, at least, you’re still breathing. As Constantine gets ready to teleport you to a safer place to heal, you hear Batman’s voice, calm but steely.
“We’re not done here.”
And with that ominous promise hanging in the air, Constantine picks you up, and the world around you shifts once again.
Constantine gently carries you through the halls toward the Justice League’s med bay, muttering curses under his breath with every step. You could feel his frustration radiating off him, and now, in the quiet aftermath of the fight, guilt begins to settle in your chest. The adrenaline from the battle has worn off, and now you're left with the consequences of your reckless actions.
“Hey, Constantine… I—I’m sorry for not listening to you. I really am,” you say, your voice soft and heavy with regret.
He sighs, not looking at you, but his tone is stern. “I’m not going to lie and say I’m not mad at you, kid. You didn’t just ignore my warnings—you put yourself in danger. There are rules for a reason. What if you got seriously hurt and couldn’t cast a spell back to me? Even worse, what if you died or got possessed?”
His words hit you hard, and you wither under the weight of them. You know he’s right. All those rules and restrictions aren’t just him being overprotective or controlling, they’re because he cares. He’s seen the kind of darkness that can swallow people whole, and the thought of that happening to you terrifies him, even if he’ll never say it out loud.
By the time you reach the med bay, the guilt feels like it’s pressing down on you as much as the pain in your ribs. Constantine lowers you onto a cot, tucking you in with a gruff gentleness that only he could pull off. He sits down on the side of the bed, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it with a quick flick of his fingers, his eyes never leaving yours.
“What I’m trying to say, kid,” he starts, exhaling a cloud of smoke, “is that I care. I care about you, I care about what happens to you. I don’t want—” He pauses, his voice softening. “I don’t want to ever have to find your body one day. So please, from now on, let me know before you do something stupid like this.”
His words hang in the air, raw and unfiltered. You nod, trying to process it all, and then something clicks in your mind. Wait… did he just say let him know?
“Let you know? Does this mean—” Your eyes widen as realization hits you. “Does this mean I can go on solo missions?”
Constantine lets out a resigned sigh. “Yes, yes, you can start going on solo missions—”
“Hell yeah!” you exclaim, sitting up a little too quickly. Pain shoots through your ribs, but you can’t help the excitement bubbling inside you.
“—but, only the ones I sanction and authorize,” Constantine finishes, cutting through your excitement with a stern look. You deflate a little at his words, but it’s still a victory in your book.
Without thinking, you throw your arms around him, ignoring the sharp pain it causes in your ribs. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise I won’t let you down!”
He chuckles, patting your back awkwardly before pulling away. “Yeah, yeah, I know you won’t. Now, lay back down and get some rest. You still have dark and brooding to deal with.” He gestures toward the direction of the meeting room, clearly dreading the inevitable confrontation with Batman. “And by extension, I do too,” he adds with a heavy sigh.
You groan, sinking back into the cot, the exhaustion finally catching up with you. “I don’t know why he even cares. If he did, he would’ve figured this out ages ago.”
Constantine glances at you, his expression softening for a moment. He takes a long drag of his cigarette before speaking. “He cares, kid. He just… doesn’t always show it the way you want him to. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel it.”
You scoff, though part of you knows he’s right. “Yeah, well, doesn’t feel like it.”
Constantine stands, taking one last drag of his cigarette before flicking it into a nearby ashtray. “Doesn’t matter how it feels right now. The Bat’s going to want answers, and if I know him, he’s going to want to have a very long talk with you. You’re not out of the woods yet.”
You wince at the thought of the upcoming conversation, knowing that Batman’s interrogation will be thorough and far less forgiving than Constantine’s.
“Great,” you mutter, closing your eyes and sinking deeper into the cot. “Just what I need.”
Constantine gives you a small, almost affectionate smile before turning to leave. “Get some rest, kid. You’ve earned it. I’ll deal with the big bad Bat for now.”
And with that, he walks out, leaving you alone in the med bay. As much as you’re dreading what’s to come, you can’t help but feel a sense of relief. Despite the pain and the mistakes you made, you know that Constantine’s got your back. And, maybe, just maybe, Batman does too, even if it’s buried under a mountain of brooding and silence.
For now, though, you let the exhaustion pull you under, trusting that everything else can wait until tomorrow.
-
As you rest, your body finally succumbing to the exhaustion, your breathing evens out and your mind drifts into sleep. The med bay is quiet, sterile, but the tension in the air lingers, waiting for the inevitable. Eventually, a dark, caped figure glides into the room silently, his form casting long shadows across the walls.
Batman—no, Bruce—stands over you, his sharp eyes tracing every bruise, every cut that mars your face. His jaw clenches as a million thoughts swirl in his head, none of them offering any comfort.
What the hell happened to you? Why are you and Constantine so close? How did you even know Constantine? How much had he missed—how little attention had he been paying—to not notice any of this?
Bruce sighs, a deep and frustrated sound. He removes his cowl, setting it on the side table with a weary hand. Without it, he seems less intimidating, less imposing. He stares down at you, seeing the cuts and bruises marking your skin, but what hits him harder is the way your face, in sleep, is still so achingly young. You're his daughter, and yet it feels like you're a stranger to him now.
How did you get so far away?
He knows the answer. The fault lies with him, with the choices he made, the excuses he repeated to himself—telling himself he was too busy, telling himself he would check in later. Later never came, though, and the space between you widened, until it wasn't just him you were drifting away from, but your brothers too.
Bruce noticed the way your brothers treated you, the harsh words, the cold shoulders. He saw the distance, but he justified it, telling himself it was sibling rivalry or something that would pass. He didn't step in. And now, as he looks at you lying there, bruised and battered from a fight he wasn’t even aware of, the reality sinks in: he has no excuse.
With a heavy sigh, Bruce reaches out, his rough but careful hand carding gently through your hair. The gesture is tender, hesitant, as if he's not sure whether he has the right to touch you like this anymore. But as his fingers comb through your hair, you stir in your sleep, a quiet murmur escaping your lips as you unconsciously lean into his touch. It's such a sweet, innocent moment, and for a brief second, Bruce allows himself to feel the warmth of it.
But the moment is fleeting.
He feels the presence before he sees it, the unmistakable smell of cigarette smoke filling the room. His jaw tightens as his hand stills. He doesn’t turn right away, but his voice cuts through the silence.
“Constantine,” Bruce says, his tone gruff even without the cowl to disguise it.
Constantine steps into the room more fully, leaning against the wall, a half-smoked cigarette between his lips. He regards Bruce with that same nonchalance he carries everywhere, though there's a flicker of something else in his eyes—something more cautious.
"Thought you’d still be brooding over in the corner," Constantine says, taking a drag of his cigarette. His eyes drift to you, lying peacefully on the cot. “Didn’t expect to see this version of you.”
Bruce doesn’t respond right away. He pulls his hand back from your hair, his gaze hardening. "What happened?" The question is direct, but underneath it, Constantine can hear the concern, the frustration Bruce doesn't voice aloud.
"She went off on her own," Constantine mutters, taking another drag before blowing out a cloud of smoke. "Went after a demon. Got roughed up pretty bad, but she handled it in the end. Strong kid. Stubborn too. Wonder where she gets that from, eh?"
Bruce's eyes narrow. "And you let her?"
"Let her?" Constantine laughs, a short, sharp sound. "Mate, I didn’t let her. She went behind my back, just like she’s gone behind yours for who knows how long. Difference is, I’m the one she actually came back to.”
That lands like a punch to Bruce's gut. He doesn’t react visibly, but Constantine can see the tension in his posture.
"I didn't know she was…" Bruce starts, then stops, shaking his head. The words feel inadequate. "I didn't know she was involved with this stuff, i didn't even know she was a meta. Or that she knew you."
"Yeah, well, she found her way to me," Constantine says with a shrug, stubbing out his cigarette on the wall. “And she's not a meta by the way, she's a vessel for some eldritch being"
A vague expression of surprise appears on Bruce's face.
"I don't blame you, mate. I was surprised to find her alive afterwards. Not just anyone survives that kind of transformation, she's strong.”
Bruce crosses his arms, his gaze flickering between you and Constantine. “I know she’s strong.”
“Do you?” Constantine raises an eyebrow, the challenge clear in his tone. “Because she’s been running herself ragged trying to prove it. To you. To herself. And, hell, maybe to me too, but at least I see it.”
There’s silence for a moment. Bruce clenches his jaw, turning to look at you again, sleeping soundly despite the tension in the room. He knew Constantine was right. You'd been pushing yourself, fighting to show that you didn’t need them—that you were strong enough on your own. And he had let you. He'd let you because he didn't even care to notice.
Constantine sighs, sensing the weight of the silence. “Look, I didn’t come here to throw stones. But you’ve got to get your shit together with her. She’s tough, but she’s still a kid, and she’s your kid. She needs you.”
Bruce doesn’t answer, but his silence speaks volumes. He watches you, the soft rise and fall of your chest, and feels the regret gnawing at him.
“I’ll handle it,” Bruce finally says, though the words feel hollow.
Constantine gives him a long look, then nods. “You better. Because if you don’t, she’ll be right back with me..”
With that, Constantine pushes off the wall, flicking away the last of his cigarette. “I’ll check in on her later. Try not to fuck this up, mate.” And with one last glance at you, Constantine leaves, the tension in the room ebbing with him.
Bruce remains, standing over you, his mind a whirlwind of regret, guilt, and the desire to fix what’s been broken for far too long. He leans down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead—something he hasn’t done in what feels like years—before stepping back, pulling the chair beside your bed to sit vigil over you.
He’s still not sure how to bridge the gap, but for now, he stays. It’s a start.
Well, thats all folks! I really enjoyed writing this au, so thanks for the idea! Maybe ill even make a pt. 2 to this? Who knows? Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it.

BEHOLD!! the party!
more info about this au under the cut because i love it So Much
first of all, you can read what i’ve written of this au here on ao3! it’s only backstory oneshots rn, but i do have a whole timeline plotted out that i’d love to keep chipping away at. but it’s taking me forever so here’s a little summary w some spoilers!
basically:
- tommy and wilbur meet when tommy is this twelve year old scruffy little street kid and wilbur is a traveling charlatan bard. tommy steals from him. wilbur casts hold person and goes “hey you fucker give me my goddamn wallet” and tommy goes 🤩 “ok but only if you show me how to do that” and because wilbur is easily manipulated by tommy’s charming street urchin ways, he agrees. and now they’re literal crime boys and travel together stealing and conning As Brothers <3
- tubbo was raised by a cult that believes he’s a prophesied savior, so tubbo ALSO believes he’s a prophesied savior. scott smajor is a divination wizard and part of the cult. one day some stranger wanders into the cult, realizes Oh My God This Cult Is Raising A Kidnapped Child, gets in over his head, murders a cult member (not scott smajor), and causes such a ruckus that tubbo gets kidnapped 2 electric boogaloo by a surviving cult member (this time it is scott smajor). a chaotic and bloody series of events ends with tubbo completely alone in the world and not sure where to go. luckily, there’s a certain bard-rogue duo to swoop him up and pull him into their party!
- quackity is Not a warlock no really guys seriously he’s just some guy. he’s just some guy who once accidentally wandered into a cult and murdered one of the cult members (they had it coming ok) and then sold his heart to a devil who, uh, took out the entire cult after that. we connecting the dots here? yeah. when quackity meets the rest of the gang, he and tubbo stand there spiderman meme pointing at each other but in Total Secret because neither of them are eager to reveal their backstories yet. tubbo kind of hates quackity. quackity does not know what to think of tubbo. it’s fun.
i’m cutting myself off here so i don’t ramble forever but IVE ALSO DONE SO MUCH WORLDBUILDING specifically regarding religion in this au. Ask Me About My D&D AU Pantheon

Dead Boy Detectives Swap-AU but a little towards the left
-Edwin and Charles both attended St. Hilarion's at the same time, where they were paired up as roommates. During their second year, Charles saved Edwin from being kidnapped by a group of bullies trying to play a cruel prank, and a few months later, Edwin saved Charles by recusing him from the lake after the same group of bullies threw him in there. When both were sixteen years old, they escaped their horrible home lives and found a cheap flat in London right above an old antique store. They started up their detective agency soon afterwards, using their combined gifts to help solve supernatural cases. They still run away from Death whenever she appears, but more of the fear of what she might do for "taking over her job".
-Edwin grew up in a religious cult where he was targeted by the other members (including his own parents) for being gay and being interested in magical studies, which would eventually lead him into becoming a sorcerer. The cult was led by a maniac named Sal, who was obsessed with dolls and spiders, and he took a particular "liking" to Edwin. According to Edwin, the village where he once lived is "the closest thing to Hell on Earth".
-Charles grew up in an abusive household, as his father had grown up in the "poor" area of the same village as the religious cult but moved out when he went to university. After getting an Indian girl pregnant during a one-night stand, they were quick to get married and he forced her to give up her gifts. But she still taught their son how to wield his magic in secrecy, and over the years, she gave him with enchanted items disguised as normal gifts.
-Both are currently 25 years old, with Edwin working at a bookshop in Soho and Charles works as a professional tattoo artist.
-Crystal is a 18-year-old psychic from the 1980s, whose body had been in possession of a demon she had been in a relationship with. Once the boys exorcise the demon, they manage to free her soul from the prison within her own mind, but the demon took her memories, causing her to be unable to pass on. Ultimately, the boys come to the conclusion that due to her being "involved" with a demon, if Death was ever to come to collect her one day, Crystal would be in real danger of being sent to Hell for her actions, regardless if she was in control or not. Her relationship with Charles is more one-sided on her part; while she has a major crush on him and mistakes him comforting her as him being flirtatious, he is quick to set up boundaries when she tries to kiss him after the lighthouse case.
-Niko is another spirit haunting Port Townsend, though her story goes back to the late 1910s. A grieving 18-year-old girl whose father passed away, she learned that the yōsei could resurrect the dead and decided to go find the bewitching spirits. Unfortunately, this would lead to her being captured, tortured, and killed by the spirits before being trapped in a snow globe; this snow globe would eventually find its way to Port Townsend in the mid-2000s, where she was accidentally freed and decided to act as a benevolent spirit to the young children, almost becoming a guardian angel. Much like in canon, she loves playing matchmaker to the town locals (as her mother was the local nakōdo in their village), but she has a better success rate in bringing together soulmates.
-Monty Finch is another tenant staying in the same apartment complex as Edwin and Charles. A quiet 21-year-old astrology student, he took a break from school after the death of his mother; during this time, he is possessed by a tree spirit to lure new victims to the woods but his unwillingness to leave his room had left it to starve. After the detectives save him (and his hair turns white from the shock), he unofficially joins the group as their fifth member.
-Florence Knight (aka the Night Nurse) is the property manager of the apartment the boys rent out while stuck in Port Townsend. While she is quite strict and practical about everything she does (including her job), she does have a soft spot for children. Niko and Monty work together to set her up on a date with her secret admirer; while the local librarian uses this as a chance to stalk her next victim, it is revealed that Asha was the one sending the letters.
-The Night Butcher (aka Jenny Green) is an executioner for the Lost & Found Department. Desperate for a promotion, she sees the capture of Crystal (who should have already been sent to Hell) and Niko (whose soul could not be detected due to being trapped) as the opportunity of a lifetime. As well, she can also "arrest" Edwin and Charles for basically taking over her job.
-The Crow Queen (aka Esther Finch) is portrayed as a younger woman, but she is practically the same personality-wise. As the queen of Port Townsend's crow population, she takes delight in toying with others and playing both sides, though she has a deep hatred for the local warlock. She tries to court Charles upon their first meeting but after being refused, the Crow Queen forces him to gather 100 feathers from different crows as punishment, forcing him to wear a necklace that keeps him trapped in town. In the end, she does develop some level of affection for Charles, giving him buttercup flowers during their last meeting. She also might have some connection to Dream of the Endless.
-Thomas King (aka the Cat King) is a cat-sìth who uses his powers to silently rule over Port Townsend, as he hunts and devours lost souls to keep himself alive. The son of an accused witch, he took it upon himself to learn everything he could about magic, but over time, his goals became twisted and self-centered; once he learned he could live forever by eating the souls of the dead, he performed a ritual to turn himself into a cat-sìth. He is currently turned himself into a cat six times, and he uses magic on his familiar to help in his plans to destroy the detectives. He takes a particular interest to Niko's soul due to her trauma of being tortured and killed for almost a hundred years.
-Maxine is the familiar of Thomas King, where she was once a mouse kept under his control. As a human, she comes off a cottagecore bookworm with a deep love for history and flower language; all of this is used to help her get closer to Crystal, though she does end up gaining real feelings for the ghost girl (and also helps Crystal overcome the internalized issues with her bisexuality). Her relationship with Thomas is similar to an abusive father, with her being ultimately killed when she refuses to help him anymore.

first things first, obviously, the cult.
×××
lets go to skiddad first.
-
ok. so, lilas husband. my guess is that throughout the years, he has been raised into cults. i imagine he became rather rebellious of this, and tried to abandon that life.
though, became too caught up, and eventually tried to get lila involved, POSSIBLY resulting in his death from fear from lila that he'd try to involve skid. my guess is skiddad is the right hand man of eyes.
theres not much i can grab there, BUT i think its worth noting the mannequin and the spiders, and how theyre probably related to skiddad. the mannequin is seen moving and/or trying to prevent people from escaping or hurting lila (sm6, sm5 where bob tries to catch her)
but, thats all i really got for him.
×××
now, bob velseb
-
judging by this picture, i like to think bob came from a more wealthy family. though, this can just be him in a business meeting, or some other formal event.
my personal idea, is that he was raised in a wealthy family, and eventually left home to go venture outwards and find some quiet peace in wherever-the-fuck-sm-takes-place. small town n stuff.
there, he worked at boys & grillz, selling to kids all around town, and specifically lila. now, to me, its not exactly clear how or why bob got into cannibalism. from what i see, its not exactly a metaphor for anything (besides like, idk, the fact his name is a pun on beezlebub, gluttony) and my only guess can just be the cult. or he was just.. hungry LMFAO
but, what i find the most interesting, is that bob couldve been a family figure (or family friend) to lila. which could explain the theory i have, that lila is the one who caught bob and put him in jail in the first place. theyre close, and lila accidentally digging too deep or stumbling upon bobs secretive cannibalistic tendencies can explain why he went out to kill her (sm1). once thrown back in prison, having help of the cult, he escaped again and tried to hurt lila AND her child, but once again, failed. (and ended up getting fucking killed in the process)
also, i like to think that bob was.. probably found at a low point with his cannibalism, and given a chance out to join the cult. idk. he probably escaped on his own in sm1 though
his role does not seem clear to me, but i like to think he was skiddad's right hand man, and once he died, bob took his place. i mean, in my eyes, he must atleast be in some high authority.
×××
mr clown
-
not even gonna lie, not too much on this guy lmfao 😭😭
though, it is known very well that he kidnaps and kills kids (unlike frank, who most likely.. just holds them for ransom tbh.) as suggested in pelos doodles (obv theyre not usually canon, but i feel like.. this one kinda is)
hes most likely of high authority/ranking in the cult, but is then killed off by jack. oops! (jesus, jack has a streak of killing cult members.)
×××
eyes
-
my favorite one to explore so far, eyes. i love eyes, specifically because of the fact we know NOTHING of their ability and their reasoning of why they inhabit this earth. to me, theyre a parasitic alien. sent, or either just out of hunger to drain the planet. i like to think that they desire to grab the human race, and put it under their control. whether it be hatred, for sadistic fun, or just for their own satisfaction. maybe controlling humans factor into their feeding. who knows.
anyway, thats where the cult comes in. tricking and playing with humans, eventually getting skiddad to lead all these people along.
my idea of eyes powers, really comes down to this. this is only what we have seen throughout sm2-sm6
-stunning, dazing.
as seen to pump, kevin, hatzgang, and gregor.
-changing humans eye color when an inhumane presence is spotted or near.
this isnt tooo important, but i think it should be added. though, unknown why bobs eyes changed. could just be his relation to the cult.
-spectating through the stars
eyes is seen throughout the episodes looking out through the sky, this could be that they are fond of skid and pump, and want to see what danger they could be in. or, theyre just curious of the two little guys' lives.
-manipulation, brainwashingggg, hypnotizing?
this is kind of a stretch, but in the end credits, and in the end of the episode itself, gregor bows to eyes and most likely put under their control. end credits wise, gregor is seen with moloch, being held up while the cult is around them. gregor could be used as a tool to summon demons and eldritch creatures alike to help take over the planet. or wreck havoc. or whatever.
but other than that, thats my idea of eyes. thumbs up.... i wonder if they can die? otherwise everyones screwed lmfao
×××
john and JD (johns daughter)
-
johns daughter is teased through pictures and drawings. it is either thought she died in the housefire in sm4, or was kidnapped, and is currently being held hostage. i like the held hostage situation better, because it adds greater stakes.
we dont know much about her, but she seems to be a bubbly young girl, and john is grief-stricken once he loses her. also, i feel its implied that he is divorced.
my idea, is that multiple cult members helped with the operation, and kidnapped JD while she was sleeping.
see, this is good (on the cults end) for multiple reasons.
while it doesnt remove john off their trail, it does deteriorate him with the loss of his child. though, if anything this makes him more determind to stop the cult.
BUT, they burned the evidence too, he is now rather powerless unless he gains all his evidence back, which would take a while.
idk. i imagine the cult try to bargain with john. and why i think of this, is because of the little poster thats likely to be a spoiler/hint for future episodes.
i mean, long hair, tealish smoke.. it could be JD being possessed? and john having to pick and choose between getting off the cults ass, or having his daughter back (and alive). shrug. thats just my theory.
×××
ignacio
-
heavily implied to be with the cult, and implied to be the one who burned down the house, its also likely he called the cult on gregor.
also, if anything, ignacio seems to be of somewhat.. high ranking or authority. or in the medium range, as he was assigned to burn johns house down. he is the one of only cult member(s) that we know of alive. others include candy dealer, the thieves, and possibly gregor.
not much about him tbh. old ass man.
×××
gregor
-
not much with him either, but its likely hes brainwashed to be apart of the cult and help along with their goals and stuff.
×××
skid (and a little bit of lila)
-
now, this is awesome because theres a very clear tie to skid and the cult. especially with skiddad and stuff.
we know from sm2, that skid is immune to eye's stun/dazing, so this can easily lead us to the fact that skiddad was connected to the cult a little before skid was born.
also! i wanna make it super clear with how lila tries to erase skiddad from everything. countless photos torn apart (specifcally of skiddads face), even ones in the attic.
lila seems to be awfully protective of skid, fearful of the cult in its entirety, but also mournful of what her husband had become. and having to possibly murder him in fear and protection of her and her son being involved.
×××
the thieves and candy dealer
-
now, holy shit, i was NOT expecting the thieves to be apart of the cult, but it does make sense. my idea is that they were sent to rob lila's house specifically so that they could retrieve anything of skiddad and cult related stuff.
their failed attempts seem to be irking candy dealer, and he gives them a good warning before going away. tbh. these guys are silly dumb dumbs. i love them.
ALSOO, that spider. right. do you think that was skiddad trying to scare them away....
candy dealer, i have no idea what the fuck is going on with him, (besides him. like. being a drug dealer obviously) but hes definitely of good importance. its nice to see him ^_^
×××
the cult necklaces
-
i feel its worth mentioning these, as they seem like a bind to those in the cult.
i think me and @deadbatzz talked about this, but we had this idea that if anyone was bound to the cult (whether by necklace or just joining), theyd be like. sent into purgatory, no release from life, just frozen in this half dead and half alive state. yeah. (though, dexters another story, as he was like. possessed and then murder in their own body. AND not to mention the happy fella dolls, but those arent part of the cult.)
×××
closing, and one final theory.
-
i saw this a while back on a comment, and for the life of me i dont think i can find it. i know it was probably on a video that pelo didnt make, but related to spooky month.
the theory is, is that the cult is powered, or just has some significance with candy.
eyes is seen eating candy in sm2, and bob is seen stopping multiple times in sm5 to eat candy. while this could just be him having a sweet tooth, i like the idea of it being much more. he even gives up literal victims for candy.
woofh. but yeah, thats... all i kinda have? sorry jf this didnt help for anything of trying to figure out whats going on with lore, but it was fun to spill my knowledge.
Oh my god dude this is fucking sick!!!! I love everything about this! I don't really have much except
Eyes/the cult having a thing with candy?? That... makes far more sense than it should, especially now that we know the CANDY Dealer is part of the cult. I like this a lot
Also the thing with Bob. The idea of him coming from a wealthy family is honestly really interesting, especially with how his house is in such a state of disrepair in Tender Treats
Him being a father figure to Lila is honestly the most gut punching, because like?? Imagine learning this man you looked up to for years is a serial killer! AND IS NOW TRYING TO KILL YOU!!!
Genuinely I want to know what the fuck happened with Gregor at the end, bc according to the ARG hub he went "missing". Apparently he wasn't even in the town for that long anyway, so like??
Just. A lot to think about.
ALSO I was thinking of them using John's daughter as a bargaining chip!! That makes too much sense! Though tbh I just don't want her to be dead-

Going for another Yukierre AU with Pierre as the monster. Also folding in a bit of Black Butler.
Yuki gets kidnapped by a cult who plan to sacrifice him to summon a demon.
Unfortunately, in this world, the demon you get is proportional to the person sacrificed. So when a tiny little Yuki is offered, a slightly older Incubus named Pierre pops out. Also the ritual accidentally bound Yuki's soul with the sex demon, so another oopsy on the cults behalf.
Now both of them are stuck in the cult as they decide to bind Pierre in the summoning circle and use him as leverage to summon a more powerful demon. Meanwhile Yuki is used like a sentient voodoo doll against Pierre if he ever reaches out in the dreams of the other cult members or his brothers to free him.
His older brothers back in hell are freaking out since Pierre is too young to partake in cult summonings.
So Yuki has to slowly sabotage the circle to let Pierre's magic out to regain his strength and finally escape.
Wow, spooky season's got a hold on you, hasn't it?
Actually I was thinking of Pierre as a werewolf if he were a monster, but we'll start with you first. Now I have never read/watched much of Black Butler in all my life so I can't really seem to add on anything of much substance, but I will say this.
Pierre and Yuki wondering what's going on and why are they both stuck in this situation together, but they team up and attemog to break the magic. Perhaps Yuki uses holy water or a rosary or salt to break the magic? I don't know, we'll see the effectivity it has. Perhaps Pierre's brothers can also try to hijack the magic with some fighting fire with fire tactics. It may not work, but there was an attempt.

Thank you for notifying me about this crime, I shall rectify it:
How did Jaune encounter his patron? Did she trick him? Did he misunderstand?
Also, why do I get the feeling Jaune is accidentally good at illegal shit?
*cracks knuckles* Let me find my notes…
Strap in this is gonna be a long one
Like a really long one. I haven’t gotten to talk about this AU in MONTHS so prepare for what is basically a whole overview of Jaune’s whole arc throughout the campaign
Jaune’s wasn’t even aware that he was an aasimar until he was like 15. His whole family was born with golden hair, and sapphire eyes, and the mark of the Sun on their forehead, so to him it was just how things were
Besides, there’s people from his village who can make trees bloom with a wave of their hands, so being especially blonde wasn’t that weird
Not sure how it happens, kidnapping, trafficking, village is attacked, but somehow the boy and most of not all of his siblings are captured and thrown into a fighting ring scenario
Cue awakening of aasimar heritage in all the Arc kiddos, which helps them survive in the ring. Trauma time woohoo, they’re trapped there for literal months
Eventually, in a dream, Jaune accidentally makes a deal with a dark entity, telling it “I don’t care what you want, just please get me out of here”
The entity obliges, to the letter, JUST getting Jaune out of there, and leaving the ring burning in their wake
His siblings aren’t dead, they escape during the chaos and eventually make their way back home, but Jaune thinks that he’s responsible for all of their deaths
And as the days go on, he realizes he can… do things that he never could before
“Magic, my little bird. A gift for performing so well for me,” a dark voice whispers in his dreams
He doesn’t know it, but his patron ends up being the BBEG, AKA Salem. And for once, I didn’t decide this, you can blame @harmonylight for that one
Plot goes on, Jaune questioning every choice he makes because is it really his choice? Or is it this dark force giving power to protect people and himself? How free actually is he, or is he still trapped just like he was in the ring?
Late campaign is rough, when the party starts speaking out against Salem. It’s obvious she’s the BBEG by this point. There’s a whole cult, Nora’s mom was a member of it. Nora stops trusting him for a bit until Jaune deep in his feels does something SUPER reckless to protect her.
They more they speak out against Salem, the more she manipulates Jaune into thinking his friends hate him. Worse, they unknowingly make it easier for her by distancing themselves to protect him
The party keeps waking up for watch with him watching them, or standing over them. Anything Salem can puppet him to do to be less trustworthy. Trying to put a schism between him and them
Jaune of course remembers none of this. “See? They don’t trust you, little bird. They don’t CARE about you”
Jaune doesn’t remember doing it, but he also fully believes it’s happening. And while he believes Salem that his friends must hate him/be afraid of him he also takes it as the threat it truly is
“Look how easily I could kill them, and you can’t stop me? Look how helpless you are”
Penny is a big part of helping him realise that Salem isn't fully in control of him that he can resit and he can beat her. There’s nothing shippy, they’re bros
There’s an arc just before the end that goes REALLY bad for Jaune, he’s becoming more and more convinced that he’s a bad person, that he’s dangerous, that he’s going to get all of his friends killed just like his family
And THATS when he finds out that his family is actually alive. And that gives him something to resist for, because now he has a home to return to. Because one thing that is true about all Jaunes, he is dogshit at fighting for himself and great at fighting for others
Luckily, because she’s just his patron, they can kick her ass without worrying about hurting Jaune. The campaign ends in the nine hells, fighting Salem herself
Cinder is also a warlock of Salem. They meet her a few times throughout the campaign, each time a little more corrupted. She’s actually the first minion they fight when they reach the hells, and by that point she’s FULLY puppet, not a scrap of Cinder actually left
Sort of a “This is what could’ve happened/could STILL happen to Jaune if this doesn’t end soon” It went faster for Cinder because she’s been bonded for longer and also because she fully indulged in what Salem wanted of her
But by the end of the campaign the first bits of corruption are starting to show on Jaune. They mostly go away after Salem is sealed away, but the physical affects are still there
After all of that, obviously Jaune doesn’t have magic. No patron means no warlock. He borrows some books from Tai and Emerald (both wizards) and studies to learn what he can.
But mostly he finally relaxes, surrounded by the family he thought he lost, and the family he gained because of that loss

hi !! I was wondering if you have any dnd characters you wanna talk about :) (in response to ur tags on my post)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME, OF COURSE I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is going under the cut because I talk too much!
So, the love of my fucking life is my swashbuckler rogue, Rook. (art of him here and here.) He has a very, very fucked up backstory, which I talked about here. (mind the tws on that post.)
I posted several snippets of the prose version I did of my favorite session I've ever played with him here. (again, mind the tws.) (I will gladly share the link to that entire doc if anyone wants to read it, as I'm very proud of it.)
But to be brief, he's the bastard son of a nobleman who's father hated him. He ran away from home as a teen, booked it to the nearest port town, and joined the crew of a pirate ship, captained by a woman named Zara. She was his mentor for YEARS and taught him everything. She also gifted him his magic rapier.
He got named first mate, which some people took issue with since he was one of the youngest crew members. They betrayed him and kidnapped him, giving him to rival pirate captain Kora Wolf, who kept him prisoner for two years before he was able to escape.
He ran away and entered the Feywild and was hiding there for several months before he was recruited by the party.
Currently, my poor man is having a terrible time. Two of the his party members are close with Captain Wolf, and one of them bought her lies about Rook, and now doesn't trust him. On top of this, he's been cursed by a demon lord, which is currently affecting him by not letting him sleep, partly due to terrible nightmares.
He's a super interesting character because on one hand he's very paranoid and mistrusting (especially now with his lack of sleep), but he also has never been shown much kindness in life, and it doesn't take all that much for him to be willing to die for you. He's incredibly reckless and will dive into dangerous situations without a second's thought, especially to save his friends. He joined a pirate crew because he was terrified of getting stuck in one boring place, and that says a lot about him. He idolizes Zara, and I have NO IDEA how he'll react when he meets her again, since he never got to say goodbye and has changed so much in the nearly 3 years since he saw her. Our party's gunslinger lowkey adopted him, and after the scene I linked above, he told someone "I missed having someone to take care of." which almost broke me.
As you can tell, I'm obsessed with this man, and I love making his life miserable. But don't worry, he'll get his happy ending. I have plans for an Inigo Montoya-style revenge duel between him and Wolf, and it's gonna be great.
My other current character is Cyra (she/they), a fire genasi barbarian/fighter. She was raised by a cult-like warband following the destruction of her hometown as a child. Later, she ended up falling in "love" with the daughter of the leader, and having a very toxic, fucked-up relationship with her. She eventually realized how bad her situation was, and realized there was no saving her gf or changing her mind, so she ran off, stealing a sand skiff as she left. They're currently becoming buddies with our party rogue, which was completely unexpected to all of us, players and characters. Last session we left off mid-combat with undead pirates in attempts to get some cursed treasure. Oh, and they have a flaming metal quarterstaff that they can summon by pulling it out of their chest. Which a major villain (who happens to be the rogue's ex-wife) wants so badly she tried to rip it out of Cyra's chest...
As for other characters, I have some very, very fun concepts for a few, including:
Zenara (they/them): tiefling warlock who was an accidental mix of a bunch of character from Critical Role Campaign 2. Occasionally gets possessed by their patron and wakes up with no memories of the shit they've done.
Avra: shadar-kai/reborn assassin who should be dead, but woke up somehow "alive" again after a mission gone wrong.
Morana: character for a future pathfinder game that will happen someday. Autistic necromancer witch with a raven familiar. Creepy as hell and very morbid. No empathy and very practical, to a degree that other people occasionally find disconcerting. Exiled from her hometown for graverobbing and necromancy. Apprenticed under a guy who turned himself into a lich.
I have literally over 30 other character concepts, but most of them are not well-developed, and this post is already WAY too long.
Now, PLEASE, TELL ME EVERYTHING. I wanna hear about your characters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how long have you been playing? what's your favorite class? Tell me all about your fucked up little guys!!!
#transmasc-wizard#morrigan replies#morrigan plays dnd#dnd#thank you SO MUCH for asking me about my special interest aksdjaksdjaskdj. I'm SO SORRY about how long this is.

Teenage Mutant Mystic DEMONS AU
(TMMDemons AU)
MUSASHI
[ Subject MAOU-011. The Powerhouse. One of the eldest twins. ]
Transmasc.
Pronouns: He/Him.
Demon mutant. Half-demon, half-human.
Mutated from a cult organization's human experiment, called Project Maou.
One of the eldest twins. (The other one is Hiruma).
Musashi's father Hanzaemon worked in his construction. Hanzaemon's team all tragically died in a construction accident. As Musashi had no other parent, as his father was single, Musashi was then sent to an orphanage.
Kidnapped by traffickers while he was walking home alone from school. Since Musashi was just a kid, he could not overpower his abductors.
He loathes his deadname, so he just goes by the name "Musashi." He picked that name because he admires Miyamoto Musashi, the most revered and celebrated swordsman in Japanese history.
Kurita and Hiruma call him by that name, while Sena calls him, "Musashi-nii," or "Musashi-niisan."
Musashi often collaborates with Hiruma to make holographic screens for their family's shared use. Hiruma makes the trackers, and Musashi makes the tech.
He's the engineer / mechanic / builder of the family. His interest in construction stems from his desire to continue his late father's legacy, and to provide for his new found family.
As Musashi's legs are strong, he often kicks his weapons, like this:
"Musashi usually takes charge, along with Hiruma. They both look after Kurita and Sena, the younger ones, together." (Taken from Hiruma's Character Sheet)
As a result, both Hiruma and Musashi have somewhat developed "Eldest Child Syndrome," as sometimes, Doburoku is too drunk or depressed to look after them.
This version of Musashi is more proactive in taking charge, especially when Hiruma is feeling silly (and itching for property damage).
Musashi has spikes on his knees. His feet are clawed, and he has flaming hair and horns. (Hiruma is dead jealous of the horns.)
He has three tails, just like Kurita and Hiruma. However, Musashi's tails are black spider legs that are tipped with sharp claws. These extra legs can lift him off the ground so that the rest of his body looks like it's floating. It looks like this:
Like the other members of the Maou trio, Musashi also has markings of a giant cross on his chest.
His spider-leg tails can morph into actual, gigantic wings that are powerful enough to make him fly.
Musashi's fighting style utilizes his legs, just like Sena. However, Musashi's style is different from Sena's in that Musashi relies on (you guessed it) the strength of his kicks.
Musashi's quite similar to Sena when it comes to their feet. Musashi's feet are constantly covered in hellfire. Sena's feet, meanwhile, are constantly covered in ghost fire.
(Yes, their feet glow in the dark. Yes, they find it inconvenient when trying to hide in the dark.)
Musashi can also use his spider-leg tails to launch heavy objects at enemies, and they also function as extra hands—that are really sharp.
When Musashi isn't in battle, he fits the tips of his tails with hand prosthetics so that he doesn't accidentally injure his siblings.
Two years after the four kids' adoption, Musashi's body dysphoria started getting harder and harder to ignore. So with Hiruma's help in the area of research, Musashi set up a sacrificial ritual. In exchange for Musashi's body parts (he very happily sacrifices his breasts and ovaries), his own mystic powers will morph into something different—something more powerful. (Yes I am projecting my hopes and dreams here. Musashi is really out here living the Trans Dream.)
What Musashi doesn't know is that the ritual was absolutely hellish to witness. Thinking he was alone, he activated the ritual himself. Musashi didn't know that Hiruma was watching from afar. Even when unconsciousness took Musashi, he thought he was the only person in the area.
Musashi was still unconscious when Hiruma quickly called Kurita and Sena over for backup, and Musashi was still down under when his three siblinga horrifically saw that parts of Musashi's body—more specifically, parts of his chest and womb—were disintegrating. They watched as the skin sealed itself back together with markings, and they watched as Musashi crackled with newfound power that surged within him, even as he lay unconscious.
When Musashi woke up after the ritual, he found that one of his eyes was now a different color. Completely black, instead of demon-red. He also noticed that he now has additional, diamond-shaped markings on his chest, as a result of sacrificing his breasts. It's reminiscent of top surgery scars. Plus, he has a scar on his womb as well. He and his siblings find these new changes on his appearance cool as fuck.
Although, the consequences of witnessing the ritual were heavy on Musashi's siblings, who have become more protective of him as a result.
Among other things, researching on the materials for the ritual also sparked Musashi's interest in chemical engineering. It's something that he and Hiruma bond over, besides mechanics.
Musashi tends to lean towards civil engineering, as he wants to study infrastructure in honor of his late father. Hiruma, meanwhile, leans more towards ballistics, which is the science of projectiles and firearms. Although, the two work together when it comes to soldering, metallurgy, and reverse engineering.
MUSASHI'S MYSTIC POWERS
Transmutation. (Get it? Because he's trans? Eyyy) This includes the construction and deconstruction of objects.
These mystic powers are the result of Musashi's and Hiruma's sacrificial ritual. Musashi's original mystic powers will now forever be a mystery, as the ritual has morphed his powers into transmutation instead.
Musashi's mystic powers were actually dormant before the ritual, so he will never know what his original powers would look or feel like. It doesn't really bother him, though. The gender ecstasy is worth it, babyyyyy
Musashi is the only one most in-sync with the element of earth, because of his interest in construction and metals.
As a result, his mystic powers are a manifestation of his desire to create things. With only intent, he can create a summoning circle when his skin touches an object. And instantly, with a flash of light, the object breaks down, and contorts itself into the shape Musashi desires. Like so:
Musashi can also use his spider-leg tails to transmute objects.
This can also be used in battle. As long as Musashi is close to an object, he can transmute it into something else.
With this power, Musashi crafts his siblings' weapons out of high-grade titanium. If ever his siblings run out of weapons on the battlefield, he can just transmute them new ones. And with Sena's help in teleportation, the weapons can be delivered to the others in a blink.
Musashi is even more dangerous on land, because he can destroy the whole terrain by doing shit like this:
Even with only scraps and debris at his disposal, Musashi can create dangerous weapons
Musashi can transmute his weapons into different things, even when he is mid-combat. He could be wielding a scythe, and then in a flash of light, he'd be holding a katana. And in another flash of light, he could turn it into a spear.
He loves transmuting his current weapon into either a pair of twin katanas, or a big, cross-shaped spear that he can kick.
He also has a knack for using chained weapons in combat. He infuses these weapons with hellfire when his foot makes contact with the weapon, and kicks them toward his opponents.
Musashi also finds out only much later that with his summoning circles, he can also create a portal—something which everyone, including Musashi, thought only Sena could do.
Musashi's ritual rendered him the most powerful of his siblings. This is why Hiruma calls him, "The Powerhouse." It's both an intimidation tactic, and a fact. Musashi can keep using his mystic powers long after his siblings have exhausted themselves.
This mystic power is also the reason why Musashi can easily renovate their family home to his family members' tastes.

the cycle continues and I'm back on the Thinking About Lin Lie train and also on the Thinking About Siblings train and uh yeah brace yourself cause I got thoughts and I make no promises as to their coherence.
because like. lin feng. lie's blood brother. he vanished with their dad and came back years later, super evil and corrupted and trying to free chiyou. he wants lie to join him he might have tried to kill him that one time (he definitely kidnapped him). he threatened to kill lie's friends. he destroyed k'un lun. but also, he looked after lie when they were small. he taught him about archaeology and they snuck into their father's study together. they were brothers, so they are brothers.
and then there's shang-chi. who took one look at lin lie and was like "wow, you're terrible at everything. come on, let's make sure you don't get yourself killed before you can find your dad." and he trained lie and looked after him and made sure he didn't get his sword stolen by ares or die during the war of the realms and taught him how to spy on people during the whole pan thing. shang-chi had nightmares about lie killing him and still trained him-- not only that, he still poked fun at lie and helped lie calm himself down after he lost the sword. (the fact that shang-chi hasn't been mentioned except once in passing alongside two other members of the agents of atlas since lie's death is driving me nuts. if you couldn't tell.)
and like. if you asked me pre-iron fist, I'd have said that they're brothers. they check all the Accidental Sibling Acquisition boxes. hell, I'm pretty sure lie even lived with shang-chi for a bit.
what feng was to lie before feng vanished and coming back evil, shang-chi was to lie before lie died. they taught him how to work smarter, not harder. they got into trouble with him and looked after him and bailed him out when he was in over his head. god I've got so many thoughts about this.
lie calls shang-chi "uncle shang" at one point in war of the realms. they've effectively just met and their longest interaction so far in the comic has been shang-chi knocking the sword out of lie's hand and telling him he needs to learn how to wield it. it's not super serious then, but by the time lie dies, shang-chi is probably one of the closest to him out of the agents of atlas.
grabs you by the shoulders. when lie came back, shang-chi was in charge of an ancient and historically super evil cult of extremely deadly warriors. the avengers think he's becoming a bad guy, and he's not super successful in convincing them otherwise. and it's all going downhill from there. he's got the ten rings and they're also super evil. he's participating in the gang war over new york city like he's the head of a crime family (he. kind of is.) he's largely pulled away from the agents of atlas and is almost solely concerned with the five weapons society, the siblings it turns out he suddenly has, and the insurmountable legacy of his generally evil father and predecessor.
feng left and came back evil. lie died and when he came back shang-chi kind of seemed like he was on his way to getting there. do you see what I'm saying? do you think lie thinks he's cursed? do you think he's even going to bother with trusting danny rand after the last two people who were supposed to help him and train him and look after him, the last two people he trusted like that, turned out to not be everything he thought they were. this is why you can't have nice things. (don't get me started on mei min's parents. by the way.)
do you think that's why he didn't tell shang-chi he was alive? because I'm starting to. once is chance two is coincidence and all that. and repeatedly getting your trust in people broken because you don't see them for a bit and they go dark side in the interim is a pretty big pattern to ignore. or something.
#I don't know I'm just here for the parallels#imagine your older brother being so corrupted by the forces of evil that it messes up all future pseudo older brothers you could ever have#(that part was just to be silly)#but seriously like. he and shang chi aren't actually brothers. found family or otherwise. but they're close.#and shang chi's not evil technically but they don't know that. it's hard to tell. that's like his whole current arc. reverse emma frost.#I don't know man it's past my bedtime.#shang chi#iron fist#sword master#lin lie#lin feng#aaaaaaaaaaaaaa#kili is rambling again

((Okay listen the Super Ghost AU from my other blogs technically shouldn’t exist on this one bc Callahan is only ever pulled into the hero game against his will but I have related thoughts about him in it and this seems the best place to put the original post.))
Callahan is what happens when the chosen vessel of a dying old god refuses to cross over and accidentally consumes said old god in its bid to stay on the mortal plane. His physical appearance is dictated by the side of the Veil he formed on, but he is the divine equivalent of a nuclear power plant set up to power a single streetlight. He is still known as ‘Kadonnut’ and ‘The One Who is Lost’ to the Church of the Burning Root/his secret rebellion worshipers back in Vargkonung, and he can heart he prayers of said worshipers as little voices in his head that blend in with his own thoughts.
He either can’t or doesn’t know how to resist a supernatural summons, however (and why would he? He’s got nobody to teach him how this ghost/god thing works!) So when some occult supervillain (maybe it’s a member of the Cult of the Burning Root, maybe not) tries to summon an ancient god to grant their wish/destroy their enemies, they get a freshly undead hockey player from Texas, who refuses to obey any commands on the ground of why the hell should he?
Villain: I summoned you! You are bound by the ancient magics to listen to me!
Callahan: You kidnapped me in the middle of my pre-game pep talk, saatana! I worked all week on that script!
He may be able to ignore her demands, but Callahan can’t get himself out of the summoning circle, so he’s stuck there until the heroes chasing down the villain bust in to stop them. If Gawain isn’t among the heroes, then he’s stuck there even longer until they can get someone down there who knows magic well enough to let him go.
Going back to this idea I keep circling back to, being in possession of his heart (anchor? core?? I’m still working on that) is probably the only way to force Callahan to do what you want, unless you have the power to rival a god, yourself. He functions almost entirely on spite and stubbornness, so even if he doesn’t know where all his power comes from, he knows how to use it to be an ass.

Well the short explanation is that the QSMP members got kidnapped (in game not in real life*) and trapped on an ultra-hostile island (Purgatory) and forced to fight against each other in a death game by an evil cyclops, and Phil kind of accidentally ended up becoming the leader of a weird cult who all wear gas masks and burn themselves on campfires and scream "BOLAS???!?!?!?" at people, all because his team had such a bad time on the first day of the event that they kinda lost their minds, gave up all hope of winning and just started memeing
(They actually recovered very quickly and started actually doing really well, probably mostly because they were having so much fun that their motivation went way up. But now they've instead decided that they love Purgatory actually and they don't even want to leave, and they still burn themselves or all their stuff whenever they need some emotional uplifting (the fire cheers them up I promise) and they still celebrate every time they run into poisonous gas)
It's been going on for the last two weeks (it's supposed to end today, we'll see how that goes)
Anyway Phil wanted to get a gas mask IRL to commit to the bit and he liked the plague doctor gas mask designs so he ordered a plague doctor mask and an actual real gas mask and Kristin made this by combining the two together
Charlie also has a gas mask now IRL and Jaiden got one for her vtuber too, they all have different designs
*(unfortunately a necessarily clarification since like three of them have actually been kidnapped before in real life)
He's having fun
#qsmp#ph1lza#qsmp purgatory#it's phil jaiden charlie baghera cellbit foolish and carre#and then etoiles roier mouse and maxo joined them later#baghera has developed a fixation on chainsawing people to death#according to phil foolish now mainly speaks in 'BOLAS' on their discord channel#cellbit is just murdering people altho he already did that before purgatory tbf but he's more cheerful about it now#jaiden has been decorating their area with her own corpses#also a bunch of them have been casually confessing their lore secrets to each other#im not even sure if that's gonna be considered canon afterwards or not

ok i’m gonna talk about my dnd ocs (intense brainrot) its under a read more bc its long and i assume some people are here for my emps content not my ocs
my fav gal is deer, a transfem lesbian who is headfirst in the closet but her knees r still outside. depending on the timeline, in one of them she’s clingy as hell. did i mention she has a girlfriend?
( ^ she has other refs depending on the campaign/timeline, this is just my favorite drawn)
her basic premise is that she was raised in a cult, being an outsider within, and that led her to escape with the help of a deer who she considered her father after feeling unsafe to live there any longer. she was assumed dead due to a fellow cult member (who, depending oh the timeline, later became her girlfriend after she escaped too). she changed her name both in a trying to hide way and in a trans way and later quests with a party. depending on the timeline (aa/mobs, pk, f&f, other aus of existing campaigns) she either splits with a chunk of her party due to a gaslighty asshole then changes universes due to a spell casted by her adopted elf brother, or she solves an attempted uprising which included a kidnapping of a god and multiple children to sacrifice to a different god before getting gf, or she gets kidnapped by a completely separate cult and then after escaping 50 years later she watches her gf get kidnapped by something that can be considered a cult (no matter what timeline she’s in she cannot catch a break. can u tell she’s my fav)
next i’m gonna infodump about spork bc i love them
(this is such an old ref i could do better)
he is a basilisk who’s nonbinary (they/he, they pref) and with the strongest people pleasing complex u’ve ever seen. his voice makes my vocal coords feel like they r squishing. their parents were killed by basilisk antis (cus bad stereotypes and shit) but they chose to prove themselves to the normies and think they owed them their life. they’re a traveling performer who preforms for money and meals (magic), and they accidentally woke up in the middle of nowwhere and then got adopted by a tabaxi turned caterpillar who owns a brothel and who shares ownership of the child with a snake pirate for tax benefits but they somewhat hate eachother and r absolutely not romantic. they r friendly for the sake of spork, tho
these ones r my only non-“original character!! do not steel!!” silly ones. my other ones r somewhat carbon copies of tom nook (todd snicker the traveling trader tanooki) geronimo stiltion (gerald wilton the writer mousefolk) the jetsetter escape the night (globe the cleric otterfolk) agent four splatoon (quartet the vigilante squidfolk) and you know what she is (witch sydney the witch tabaxi)
dnd is fun i think everyone should dnd if they can

Guest cast: Dale Wilson as Faron Cassidy Allison Mang as Bonnie Cassidy David Orth as Vance Cassidy David Stratton as Travis Cassidy Jacques Fortier as Ahriman
Written by Jim Henshaw Directed by Armand Mastroianni
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We open right into the show this week, a van driving at night, with a man and a woman tracking someone via computer and an on screen time stamp telling us it is 11:00pm. We then see a couple of men in a field with some sort of detector tracking device. One relates codes to another, saying he's found their prey. Travis doesn't see the creature, even though Bonnie says he's almost on top of him. Travis runs as something chases him, then attacks, throwing him onto a farm thresher. Vance, Bonnie and Faron Cassidy all arrive too late. Travis is dead.
Cut to the opening, with Steven Monarque listed after Robey and before Chris Wiggins. John D. LeMay is really gone.
Now we are at Curious Goods, it is 11:06pm, Jack is sitting with the lights flickering. Micki says she checked the fuse box. She tells Jack to "just sign it" and he does. They toast to him now being her partner in the store, since Ryan is gone. She tells Jack that Ryan will always be part of her, but just in case, she wants the store in good hands. Jack reluctantly agrees. He then opens a box that arrived from a museum. The museum is answering their mailer. They bought no items from Lewis, but sent them an item that was donated to them in his name. It is an Enochian dagger, from a demon worshipper.
The Cassidy family load Travis into the van, and the dad, Faron, thinks back to him and his boys going after someone or some group that took Bonnie, his daughter. In the present, Vance gets the dad to go with him. We then hear the creature growl.
In the van, the dad says they have to find the creature and avenge Travis. A spot of high evil energy keeps showing on the radar. The dad tells Bonnie to keep working at it and takes Vance out to hunt.
At the store, the lights continue to flicker. Jack is telling Micki what he knows about the demon lore involved with the dagger. A human sacrifice would ressurrect the demon. The caller then sends the demon out to commit tasks for him. They take the dagger into the vault, the power goes out, Jack accidentally cuts himself with it and drops it. Micki lights a match and they see Jack's blood absorb into the vault floor and vanish.
Back at the farm, Faron and Vance continue to hunt the demon, who they believe knows they are there, too. Another memory, of Faron and his sons bursting in on the demonic cult that kidnapped Bonnie. A big fight ensued, and they found Bonnie and snapped her out of the cult's hold on her. Faron then went wild, shooting and killing all of the cult members as his daughter screamed.
11:18pm, Johnny is at home listening to the game and working on a model ship. Micki calls him for help, but their call is broken off. Johnny rushes out.
In the van, Bonnie listens to the others as she works the computer and radar. The men seem to close in on the demon, but Bonnie says interference is blocking her. Faron remembers talking to her after the cult, she says the demon was sent to stop him from killing cult members and their demons. She cries but her father comforts her.
Johnny arrives at the darkened store, calling out. He finds them in the basement with a lantern, trying to figure out why the blood vanished. Johnny gets a hammer, and sees more of Jack's blood vanish on the floor. All the clocks and watches have stopped, as well. Jack taps with the hammer, looking for a hollow sound on the floor. With a crowbar, he gets to work.
At the farm, the men close in as the demon lurks.
Jack pulls up a floorboard with Johnny's help and they find a big space beneath the floor of the vault. Jack looks around and says it is a church of necromancy, where demons are raised from Hell.
Bonnie continues searching with the radar as father and son search the barn and find traces of blood.
In the underground church, the trio explores, Johnny saying there are many tunnels connecting, and Jack says they'll get cement down in the morning to seal off the passageways. Johnny is skeptical that real demons were conjured, but Jack finds demonic contracts the church must have written to raise demons. Jack then figures out why Lewis built the vault in the first place: to hold any uncontrollable demons the church conjured. Jack says only the person who called forth the demon could help it escape. Micki says they need to break whatever contract was written, and Jack says the only way is to kill the caller with the dagger used in the sacrifice. Micki notices more symbols and apparently fresh blood on the doorway arch.
Faron and Vance continue through buildings and passageways searching for the demon.
Johnny finds more blood on the walls, dripping down from all around. Jack tells Johnny to stand guard here so Micki and him can go up and try and decipher the scrolls and parchments he's gathered. Johnny isn't thrilled.
The other men still hunt through old buildings, their demon-Geiger counter still alerting them to the creature. It breaks through the floor to attack and Faron opens fire. Bonnie hears and speeds off to join them. The demon tries to pull Vance through the floor. Faron tries to pull him back, but the monster is stronger. Vance falls, and tries to battle the creature. The monster tosses the man up through the floor and Faron finds him, dead. Bonnie sees the creature and joins her father, who is enraged at his second loss of the night.
At 11:33, Faron and Bonnie are driving the van towards the strange energy force. Bonnie says it is going back to where it was made, then tells her father they should have let the cult have her and he wouldn't have lost both his sons. He dismisses her plea to let the demon go, but her father won't hear of it.
Somewhere, the wounded demon pulls at the knife Vance stabbed it with.
Jack and Micki scour the documents, Micki said the scrolls are signed with the current date. Jack said the demonic scrolls are dated to when they are due, and that's tonight, with the full moon. Jack says that explains the power fluctuations they have been experiencing. The demon is returning.
Johnny finds more blood on the church floor and hears ghostly moans. In the blood, he sees a face, and Jack says souls are gathering. The cult called forth the demon because someone was killing their members and they wanted vengeance. Jack says if the demon kills all it was sent for by midnight, the cult members will be resurrected. Micki wonders if the vault can keep it out, but Jack says the caller will have to return, too, and Micki says that might be someone they can stop. Jack says the symbol on the contract will be somewhere on the caller's body. Just then, a gun cocks behind them.
Outside of Curious Goods, the demon arrives.
Back under the vault, Faron and Bonnie have arrived, setting detonators to blow so they can kill the demon. Faron continues to hold the gun on Jack and crew, believing them to be part of the demonic cult. Bonnie says to kill them now, but Faron wants to stop from scaring the demon away and will kill them after it is dead.
The demon gets closer and closer to the store.
Jack realizes Faron and family were the ones attacking the cult and tries to convince him they are on the same side. Faron doesn't buy it, because he found them in this satanic church. Micki says they just found this tonight, but they don't buy it. Jack tries to show them the demonic contract, but Bonnie snatches it and says it must be one of their prayer books. Micki appeals to them, but Faron isn't listening. He says they loaded the tunnels with TNT. They leave them under the vault, and then Johnny wants to go into the vault to use a cursed antique to help. Jack says no way, they won't use any of those items.
Micki looks around at the faces moaning on the floor. Jack says they are waiting for the demon to finish its tasks. Suddenly a hand reaches up through the floor.
In the store, Faron and Bonnie continue to set up TNT to blow the whole place up. Bonnie goes upstairs. She slips into Micki's room, rubbing her neck. She opens the windows to the outside.
Down below, Jack, Micki and Johnny try to figure out how to stop the caller and in turn, the demon. Johnny again goes toward the vault for a cursed item.
It is now 11:48pm, Johnny gets the floor open and they go into the vault above.
Bonnie is looking at a book as the demon comes in the window. She shows the creature the mark on her chest, letting it know that she is its caller.
Johnny finds the dagger and they head upstairs. Faron is looking around the store, unaware his daughter let the demon in.
Micki says they don't know which to use the dagger on, but Johnny hopes they get lucky the first time.
Faron's counter goes off, he wonders what took Bonnie so long. He tells her to go check on the others downstairs and he heads up as the counter clicks faster. Gun in hand, he searches and is suddenly attacked by the demon, calling out to his daughter as he shoots wildly into the dark. The demon is hit and falls out the window.
Johnny goes to head into the store, but Jack takes the dagger from him.
Faron comes down into the store and sees the demon outside the front door. One of the bombs goes off.
At the vault, Micki and Jack hold the doors open as Johnny struggles with Bonnie, who shoots her gun wildly, then drops it. Micki quickly picks it up, telling Bonnie to freeze. Upstairs, the demon advances on Faron, who runs off.
Micki notices the mark on Bonnie's chest. Faron comes down, then the demon slowly follows. Jack tells everyone to get in the vault, and shuts it behind them. The demon works to get inside. Faron says there has to be a way to stop it, and Jack tells him "or someone" as Micki continues to hold the gun on Bonnie. She gives Faron the gun to prove they are on his side, and Bonnie tells him to kill them. Micki says the demon is there because of Bonnie, and finally she comes clean to her father, admitting she was never kidnapped, unleased the demon and has been hampering his hunt all along. Faron doesn't know what to believe. She said she did all this to protect the cult and tonight can ressurrect those he killed.
Johnny grabs the dagger to stab her, but Faron stops him and the dagger falls. Bonnie opens the vault, and calls to the demon. Faron tosses a grenade, sending the demon to the room below the vault, and Johnny as well. Micki and Bonnie struggle, Johnny fights off the demon, but is losing badly. Micki and Jack watch as Bonnie and her father struggle, then stop. The demon moans and lets Johnny go, and we see Bonnie fall. Her father stabbed her with the dagger. The demon falls into a hole in the floor, apparently to Hell. Faron is distraught, holding the bloody dagger as his last child dies.
Next day, Jack carves the same spell into fresh cement on the church floor as was used on the vault above to keep the cursed antiques safe. Johnny says the dagger can be the first item in his expanded vault, and Jack comments it was used once more than he'd have liked, but sometimes things happen for the best. Johnny wonders if there could have been another way, Micki says maybe if Faron had seen his daughter for who she was sooner. Jack ends with a saying about blind fanaticism.
My thoughts:
Wow. Okay. Lots to unpack here. Definitely see we are in new territory with the show now beginning with a "cold open", as in opening right into the show with the first scene and then the credits after. And LeMay is out of the credits and Monarque is in. I remember watching that the first time and feeling that last bit of the possibility of Ryan being her going away. He is gone.
One thing about this episode I also remember from the first viewing is how dark it is! Back then in '89 on my little TV, it was extremely hard at points to figure out what was going on. Now, it is somewhat clearer, but still not great. When Johnny picked up the dagger at one point I was unsure just what he had picked up.
I liked the little aftermath of Ryan being gone dealt with between Jack and Micki. Smart to keep the future of the store safe, with the stakes at hand. And good to hear them talk about Ryan and not just pretend he was never a part of their lives.
The time stamps on screen counting closer and closer to midnight I get, but all of this happened within one hour? Including them driving all over, going from the farm to Curious Goods, and also putting TNT in all the tunnels? And why wouldn't Bonnie have dissuaded her father from that, if her goal was to resurrect the cult in that chamber? Makes no sense.
The demon acted scared for parts of the hunt. Why was he hiding from the brother? It was a freaking demon! And when it was approaching the store, what would the neighbors have thought?
I liked Johnny's eagerness to use a cursed item to help them, it shows his relative newness to their task, and a bit of innocence. Also liked Jack's steadfast refusal, but then acknowledging that it was needed. But this would have played better if it was a random antique. He himself had said earlier the only way to stop this was to kill the caller with the dagger used. So, why so reluctant other than to have conflict with Johnny?
Micki has come a long way from the start of the show. Here, she's taken charge of making sure the store is safe, is missing Ryan but moving on, and is quick to snatch up the gun and hold it on Bonnie. She's grown so much.
Chaotic episode, a bid muddled, but an okay step into season three. And so much more vault space! Now they have room for things like the mulcher, the magic box and the trephinator!
Next week: Crippled Inside
For some reason my brain decided it was time to focus on ocs and i finally completely overhauled the poor world building and stuff id had and now ive created a new world with a new storyline. There are key elements of the old storyline but this one is so much better. 200% more cults. Such a better plot. Im probably going to turn the rest of my male characters into women. I like to call this the Reverse Lovecraft. No more men in my stories.
#its vaguely in the lovecraft universe but only vaguely#its a different timeline where humanity keeps advancing and destroying themselves in a cycle#so the characters are set in an alternate 1940s where tech stuff is different and world events are different#because theyre like 10 thousand years in the future#from the original 1940s#the first scene is still the main character accidentally killing like 30 people from accidentally spontaneously human combusting#because they touched an Artifact. except this time the artifact is an ancient cursed madness artifact and he descends into madness from#the combo of trauma guilt and the weird madness artifact. and the artifact belongs to a cult trying to open a gateway#and he and the cult member he accidentally kidnapped get kidnapped by other cults a lot#comedy#i will draw this later#solius posting
